Google Glass
I had a chance to try on a pair today. It was nice. The Glass's display itself was not as obtrusive as expected. I'm hoping to get a deeper look at the device at I/O.

Tweetbot for Mac alpha got several enhancements. The new alpha is super smooth, super fluid, and it makes me even more excited to see the final product when it hits the Mac App Store. While the notifications in this new alpha are local (not push, they only work when the app is open), the system is a great taste of what's to come with the final release.
I don't use Tumblr (obviously) but this new Tumblr for iPhone and iPod touch update looks pretty nice. Tumblr says the app is much faster, too, which is nice.

I truly hope he is not trolling.

Check out my review of the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with the Retina Display. Apple says in its video about the product (with Jony Ive and Bob Mansfield) that it is the best computer that they have ever made. Having used several Macs over several years, I truly agree.
This new MacBook Pro has been in the making for years, and it includes several firsts and innovations for both Apple and the industry. I'm mostly pointing to the incredible Retina Display here. See my review for all of the details, including benchmarks and who should buy the new laptop.

I can't wait to cover it live. It should be a very exciting keynote.
Two weeks until WWDC. Sweet.

I wonder when Apple is going to post up the session information, formally announce the June 11 keynote, and release the conference app. Last year, they did this within a week of the event. Perhaps last year's patterns won't hold up for this year, though.
NYT says Facebook is actually building a phone. Hopefully it doesn't take five pieces of hardware.
The Apple Store is down right now and not only has the Apple product buying community lost its store (for the next few hours), but it's lost an icon: the yellow sticky note. For years, the yellow sticky note represented the incoming of new shiny toys from the Apple castle, but now we have a faux card with a linen background. Notably, linen is all over the place in recent versions of iOS, OS X Lion, and soon OS X Mountain Lion. Now it's on the Apple Store is down page that we only get to see a few times a year. Linen is going everywhere.
